History and mission of The Training and Methodological Centre for Vocational Education in the Dnipro region
The history of the establishment and operations of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Vocational Education Service is closely linked to the region’s vocational education system. The VET Methodological Office was part of the regional vocational school administration until 1988. Following the merger in 1988 of the regional VET and general secondary education administrations, the VET Methodological Office was transferred to the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Institute for Teacher Training. Since 1992, the VET Methodological Office has been reorganized into the Regional VET Methodological Center and operates as an independent institution.
The structure of the Regional VET Methodological Center involves staff providing methodological support to vocational (technical) educational institutions in the region in the following areas:
- vocational training;
- general education;
- career guidance and social work;
- educational work (student self-government, extracurricular activities);
- professional development for educators;
- library services;
- promotion of the vocational education system (exhibitions, pilot projects, cooperation with the media);
- monitoring the activities of vocational education institutions through an information and analytical center established at the National Methodological Center for Vocational Education.
The mission of the Educational and Methodological Center is to improve the quality of vocational education by implementing innovative methodologies and EdTech solutions that produce competitive professionals and contribute to the development of a modern educational ecosystem.

More than 320 methodological materials are available in open access and активно used by educators and institutions. The Centre successfully implements innovative educational approaches, conducts training sessions, and coordinates projects aimed at improving the quality of vocational education.
Expectations from Collaboration:
The Centre expects collaboration with the EdTech Ukraine Association to provide access to a strong partner network, exchange of best practices, support in implementing innovations, and opportunities to participate in international projects and grants. Strengthening the impact on vocational education development in Ukraine and integration into the global EdTech ecosystem are key priorities.

The Centre is open to partnerships with EdTech companies, educational institutions, international organizations, and businesses. Key areas of collaboration include co-development of educational products, implementation of grant projects, adoption of innovative technologies, professional development for educators, and advancement of vocational education in line with labor market needs.
