The idea for the Financial Academy Aktiv arose during the global financial and economic crisis, at a time when Ukrainian businesses were facing an acute shortage of finance and management specialists. Initially, training took place offline in lecture theatres, but by the end of 2009 the team had moved online, digitised the courses, and introduced an LMS, webinars and distance learning formats.
