Problem and Solution:
According to our research, there are no international free programmes and projects for teenage girls focused on leadership development. At the same time, many teenage girls do not have access to educational programmes that develop the leadership skills, confidence and soft skills necessary for active participation in society.
The FEM – Future Empowered Minds programme creates a safe global community for girls aged 13–18, where they develop communication, digital, AI, financial literacy and social influence skills through online courses, mentoring and projects.
Products and Services:
FEM's main products:
FEM Camp – offline leadership development camp;
FEM Online Program – educational leadership programme on AI, financial literacy, communication and soft skills;
FEM Online Summit – final project presentations;
FEM Community – global support network;
FEM Online Events – meetings with female leaders and experts.
Audience:
The target group is teenage girls aged 13–18 from Ukraine and other countries (worldwide), particularly those from military families, large families or low-income families, as well as those who have been affected by war or are living abroad. Participants are highly motivated, speak English and are committed to personal development and self-fulfilment.
Investment proposal:
Investments will be directed toward expanding the FEM program, developing new educational modules and digital solutions, engaging mentors and experts from different countries, and scaling the project to new regions to reach more teenage girls.
Previous funding included charitable contributions from the founder and private donors, as well as grant opportunities.
History and mission of FEM
The idea for FEM was born during the full-scale invasion. We wanted to create additional services and socially important projects for young women in Ukraine. Then the initiative grew into an international one, because according to reports and statistics on sustainability and impact on the international economy, there is a great need to develop women's leadership and potential that has a global international impact. When founder Kateryna saw how many girls had lost their sense of security, support and self-confidence, she realised that they needed a space where they could regain their confidence, learn to act, dream and become leaders. The first step was an offline camp in Cyprus, attended by 40 girls from Ukraine and Cyprus. Subsequently, online meetings and events grew into an international online development programme for girls from Ukraine, Cyprus and Europe. FEM has become a community where everyone can say: ‘I can. I am important. I matter.’
